Cotton fabrics are particularly recommended for beginners because they are easy to sew. In contrast to purely synthetic fabrics, cotton fabric does not warp or slip. You use cotton for trousers, jackets, shirts, dresses and skirts. Surely you already have a suitable pattern at hand. Since the cotton is so kind to the skin, the fabric is also ideal for children's clothing. You can even use cotton for pillowcases, sheets, and curtains. Cotton is therefore a cheap alternative for anyone who has the time and inclination to sew by themselves. Maybe you already have some nice ideas for decorating your own four walls. Proper care for cotton

Cotton is an easy-care and uncomplicated fiber. However, there are a few important things to note about this fabric. When washing for the first time, it can happen that the meter goods shrink a bit. We therefore recommend that you put the colorfast fabric in the washing machine before sewing. And white cotton and colored cotton should not be mixed. Pure cotton can be put in the hot wash (particularly practical for hygiene), but the fabric will definitely be clean even at 40 degrees. Some of our cotton fabrics also contain polyester and elastane. The fiber blends with the synthetic fibers increase the durability of the fabric and make it easier to care for. Fortunately, unsightly creases and creases in the cotton fabric are a thing of the past in this case. If you choose a fabric that is 100 percent cotton, the creasing is of course a little different. If you would like to iron the pure cotton fabric, moisten the fabric a little with the steam function beforehand. In principle, there is nothing wrong with putting the cotton fabric in the dryer.
